In 1923 the Ford Dealership Grand Opening and is named Sawtelle Motor Company owned by R. E. Nadeau located at SE corner of Santa Monica Bl. and Stoner Ave. at 11726 Santa Monica Blvd. (see add below)
1928
Photo below is the 1928 Sawtelle Motor Company Ford dealership owned by R. E. Nadeau located at SE corner of Santa Monica Bl. and Stoner Ave. at 11726 Santa Monica Blvd. This view is looking south on Stoner Ave. from Santa Monica Bl. Legible sign includes “Sawtelle Motor Co.”. Vintage street Lamp post and several early-model automobiles are parked along the road. Several sets of streetcar tracks are visible in the middle of Santa Monica Blvd. On the opposite side of the Street at 11752 Santa Monica Boulevard is the Chevrolet Dealership, named Burkhardt Chevrolet in 1928.
1930
In 1930 the Ford dealership is called West Los Angeles Motor Company still located at SE corner of Santa Monica Bl. and Stoner Ave. at 11726 Santa Monica Blvd. On the opposite side of the Street at 11752 Santa Monica Boulevard is the Chevrolet Dealership, named Edward Brown Chevrolet.
1936
In 1936 the Ford dealership is called Hufford and Walker Ford still located at SE corner of Santa Monica Bl. and Stoner Ave. at 11726 Santa Monica Blvd. On the opposite side of the Street at 11752 Santa Monica Boulevard is the Chevrolet Dealership, named Chet Relph Chevrolet. (see ad below)
1941
In 1941 the Ford dealership is called Walker Ford Company still located at SE corner of Santa Monica Bl. and Stoner Ave. at 11726 Santa Monica Blvd. (see ad below)
2016
Below we see Stoner avenue and Santa Monica Blvd. in West Los Angeles looking south. It appears that the Structure on the left is the same but altered extensively. Its Unfortunate that the original Structural design of the building has been modernized and altered. The 1928 Classic Light Pole also is gone. Photo taken in 2016.
